JC Buehler
PrincipalJC Buehler is active in aviation law and compliance, FAA administrative law and Alternative Dispute Resolution. He is admitted to the Indiana and Illinois bars and the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals. He holds a B.A. from Indiana University, a J.D. from the Indiana University McKinney School of Law and is a Registered Civil Mediator. He currently serves as adjunct professor of Aviation Law at the I.U. McKinney School of Law with previous teaching appointments at the University of Indianapolis and the Indiana University Kelley School of Business. He was an instructor at the Legal Officer/JAG College, Civil Air Patrol/USAFA, a guest lecturer at Purdue University, a member of the Governor’s Aviation Asset Management Review Committee and a Hearing Judge with the Indiana Alcohol and Tobacco Commission.

As a professional pilot, JC is an FAA-Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE) with ATP and Flight Instructor certificates and B727; B737; B757, B767, Westwind, CE-500; CE525S; and CE560XL type ratings. From 1983 to 2007, he was a pilot and check airman with ATA Airlines.
He is the president of the Indiana Aviation Hall of Fame, Inc. and a volunteer with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department. His professional memberships include the Indianapolis and Indiana State Bar Associations, the Lawyer-Pilots Bar Association, AOPA, EAA, Society of Aviation Flight Educators, the Aviation Lawyers Association, and Quiet Birdmen.
